There is no single 'correct' way to use TradePros, but here are some pointers that we have found help make a winning bid.
Potential customers want to learn about you and your business. Share information that inspires confidence and shows you're both qualified and professional.
Your profile is where you can highlight your experience, skills and display your credentials and professional licenses/insurance to let customers know that you are qualified to do the job. Be sure to include a company logo or photo of yourself so that customers see who they will be potentially hiring.
Top tip: make sure to send in updated copies of your business credential documents before expiry to keep profile badges.
Everyone likes a bargain... With more competitive pricing, customers are more likely to choose you to be their Pro. At the same time, make sure your bid is accurate, don’t just bid a low price to land the job.
Your quote should include a clear and professional message. Make sure your message is personalised for the specific Job Request, and that you answer the questions the customer asked in their request. Make sure you are always courteous and professional, and provide your full name, and contact details in the message.
Tip: explain why you charge what you charge, so that customers understand that the cost can fluctuate once you learn more about the job.
When customers look through TradePro profiles, they will pay particular attention to the reviews previous customers have written. The more reviews you have, the better your chances of being hired.
Make sure that before you leave the job site customers "Hire" you via TradePros and you "Mark the job as complete".
Tip: have some reviews you'd like to see on your profile? Send us an email and let us know email@example.com
We give you the tools to grow your business, but it’s up to you to make use of them. Like any new skill, you will want to learn and really master it. Only reply to a Job Request if you think you are qualified. Be persistent and learn how to make the TradePros platform work best for you and watch your business grow.
Tip: don't get discouraged. Keep sending bids, it's free and quick to do so.
The more you bid, the more jobs you’ll be hired for! Also, bids are submitted to the customer on a first come first serve basis. The more quickly you respond to a customer’s Job Request by submitting a bid, the better chances you have to get contacted first and get hired.
Tip: jobs can receive a maximum of 5 bids. Try and respond within a few hours maximum to avoid missing out.
All the best meeting new customers!
